Postfix not sending out mail, Connection refused / timed out. LosAngelesVPS
Hi, bought vps, Im having trouble setting up mail server, i installed postfix on ubuntu 20.04 and it wont send emails, in logs connection refused

Support said they unblocked port 25 but it still the same.
As well im not getting telnet response when i run this from vps
telnet gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com 25 or 80
But i get response from home ubuntu laptop, so definetely something blocking it
Any ideas?

If it’s not your firewall blocking the traffic then they didn’t unblock SMTP.

Never seen a provider block outbound port 80.
This is my first time hearing OP provider name..
Tell support they are morons! Its clear they are still blocking your in/out port 25...

Don't think they're blocking port 80, that would interfere with soooo much. Just Googles mail servers don't have any service listening on port 80 to connect to.
