What's VPS spec is most important to you when buying from a provider in 2020?
I am trying to see what you guys want and value most in VPS plan specs. Working on overhauling our entire vps system and plans/prices.
- Total CPU Cores
- CPU Clock Speed
- AMD or Intel CPU
- Fair Share CPU Core or Dedicated
- Total Memory
- Total Storage Space
- Total BW per month (limited vs unlimited)
- DDos Protection yes/no
- Total static IPV4 included
Pick one and share what you think would be ideal spec at the $7/month price point.

I care about total cores and they have to be AMD lately. Nvme disks too.
I can buy older hardware only if the offer comes from a super reliable provider.
I see that a lot from reading here! Its AMD or bust! No one wants intel right now
CPU performance (1 good core is better than 4 slow ones) - shared or dedicated? steal time? - iops - RAM (caching rocks) - DDOS protection.

Currently, I am looking for dedicated cores (atleast 2) and a decent disk space (30+ SSD. NVMe is a bonus).
Well it depends on my clients requested workload...
Nvme disk space; reasonable amount
Decent memory
Decent cpu (amd preferred)
Uptime/network, redundant storage/ssd, decent CPU.

A great control panel that allows me to do everything myself and is pleasant to use. To complement that, great, responsive support in case something goes wrong.
For me I mostly car about Core, RAM and Network. I didn't care about network, then some crappy VPS provider's VM took 3 hours to run a simple apt-get. (Think it was colocrossing LOL)
Any spec as long as cheap, fast, stable and Singapore.
