Burstnet was the only one I remember. The dotcom boom slaughtered things pretty good.

Like I already said: @Hetzner_OL (1997), @UltraVPS (1999). Might be more of them here.
Outside the LE world, there are lots of providers that are around since the 90s.
But they Burstnet deadpooled and came back in other form.

I started my game server company in 2002. Back then I remember the other game server providers were Art of War Central, Barry's World, Jolt.co.uk and a few others. Not many back then.
