IP Location and the content

I've got a dedicated based on the USA. I have checked the IPs and it shows the USA as a location; nevertheless, google and the other certain webpages show it as the United Arab Emirates, and google is in Arabic! I know how to change it (google's settings of language) nevertheless, every restart it turns back. Even Bing sees my location as in UAE. What should I do?

See what the most popular geo-IP databases are outputting here: https://www.iplocation.net/
    Also check MaxMind: https://www.maxmind.com/en/geoip-demo

Updates then need to be submitted for any inaccurate geo-IP data. Whether you or your host does this is something you'd be best off checking with them on.

  • If you can share the IP address, we could help you to troubeshoot the issue.

  • @hostworld @mikec thank you very much. I've contacted my service provider, which I do not want to state the name obviously because of the fact that they are in the business and I do not want to make them hurt. In MaxMind's GeoIP, the IP's location is Jeddah, SA. I couldn't believe my eyes in the first place. The service provider stated that they couldn't do anything in this matter and they also said I needed to get it done. Thank you again for the responses.

Maxmind has a form to request changes to their database. Just write them using that contact form and I‘m pretty certain they will fix that ASAP. See: https://support.maxmind.com/geoip-data-correction-request/
