Hello, what's your uptime guarantee? Will this perform better than Vultr HF?
Provisioned in minutes, very happy with SG, have been looking for a long time.
How's the connectivity/routes from the SG location to EU? I haven't had the time to check but was wondering if those who have services in the SG location might know.
Very optimal latency and more than 1 transit provider. NTT , core-backbone and cogent If I remember mtrs. 170-ish ms to Amsterdam.
99.9% uptime; 3900X should be on-par with if not better than the Coffee Lake / Comet Lake Xeons in single core workloads.
The blend is pretty decent - NTT, PCCW, Telia, Singtel and local peerings. Most traffic to EU don't take lengthy detours
Alexander
A little bit high latency than other hosts in SG e.g. OVH, Linode, Vultr etc. from Bangladesh. About 15-20 ms higher than them. The overall network needs to be optimized in my opinion.
Send me a PM with some traceroutes, we will have this looked at
To HiVelocity SG:
To Vultr SG:
To Linode SG:
To HostUS SG:
Tracing route to sgp-lg.hostus.us [210.16.120.5]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
Seems like, it's okay now. I don't know why I was getting 15-20 ms higher that time. However, there is some packetloss throughout the connection. You can check @AlexanderM
Thanks for the help! The packet loss could be due to ICMP deprioritization, though you shouldn't see any packet loss at the destination
Waiting activation sir, order number 2294175527
Thank you sir, all activated and good to go
Alexander
Thank you sir, so far so good, happy with the service
Bought the lowest plan to be used as personal vpn after 4 year become idle customer, and so far the network is good enough
Alexander
Bought it for personal VPN and so far the best connectivity. Other locations gets disconnect frequently but this one is a beast. Wont disconnect until I tell it to.
slow connection
In my case, ovh has the lower speed. I think it depend on the ISP
show me your proof please
The different is real.
I don't know why. 2 OVH SG with similar result, so I think it depend on ISP.
Btw, this is OVH lowest plan. May be different with other specs, but I don't have it
are you indihome user?
You got it
Got similar result? Or wild guess?
indihome is not an ISP lol..
Great to hear that :-)
Alexander
Managed to grab one, good connectivity to Malaysia
Thanks @AlexanderM for bringing cheap VM on Singapore
