Seedbox. Swizzin or Rtinst?

What do you guys use? I tried both and Swizzin is way interesting for me. How about security and stability?

  • Swizzin. Look professional when using it.

    Why I like Swizzin:
    1. Plex working w/o setting up tunnels
    2. Easy to install Jellyfin which works faster on the VPS than Plex
    3. Stats

    Why I don't like Swizzin:
    1. In the idle mode it takes 200-300 MB bandwidth per hour
Yes there are no active torrents and active Plex/Jellyfin and I even stopped Webmin.
So I can't understand it. I installed Swizzin on the clean VPS btw.

  • For me swizzin is media manager

    Rtinst is basic download.

Sorry im using just a basic one. But i prefer swizzin.
Maybe you need to upgrade to dedicated instead of vps.
    Ihehe

Is your bandwidth also leaking for no reason?

I always liked rtinst, cause it was very simplistic and didn't feature too much, which made me feel, like the guy managing it knew what he was doing. I currently use plexguide. Everything is in its own docker container there and I can manage it very easy. If I were to setup everything again I would use rtinst and install Plex myself.

  • I normally just install everything myself, but if I am in a rush I would generally use Rtinst as @blablub123 says it is nice and simple with no bloat.
