  • @Ympker - any info or comparison on this?

  • I've used Zoolz previously on an annual ongoing basis for around 5 years or so. This service is operated by them also. Might as well save money by paying a one-off fee.

The client is very easy to use. The only downside is restorations can take a few hours due to the cold storage, but not necessarily an issue for a lot of people.

  • I'd also like to know if there is a review for this.

Never heard of them but seems cheaper than Degoo. Maybe more unknown but then again Degoo isnt probably prem either. Seeks like it's just for backup though. Can't stream media files (asked support), so I'd prefer Degoo to put my Plex Collection there.

With the typical ongoing cost of storing that much data with AWS, this is clearly a loss leader unless people buy to not use (LET style ). Not sure it can last several years if many people fill their spot with actual backups...

Anyway is it possible to use this without the polar client, using the usual linux tools?

  • Just received a 'Severe Warning' for posting this deal for some reason...??

Any thoughts towards changing your username to @SeverelyWarnedMan?

Maybe have to. Been using this site for years but I think this is the first deal I have posted. That'll teach me not to try to be helpful lol

I don't think it is possible. It seems to be Mac or Windows client only.

I've been using this alongside Google Drive for backups of photos and documents, etc.

  • This is a garbage deal.
