Please suggest which is better for a cpanel vps and why?

    CentOS 6 reaches EOL this year, so you don't want that. CentOS 8 is by far the best option and the newest version but cPanel doesn't officially support it yet, so you'd need to go with CentOS 7 for now.

    CentOS 7 is recommended for the cPanel/WHM.

    Centos 7 64 bit OS.
