Looking for dedicated server for VMs and storage.
Hey, I am currently looking for a dedicated server that can handle my VMs and backups since my current one is currently being pushed to its limits. Here are the specs I am looking for:
- CPU: 4-8 cores with SMT/HT
- RAM: 24-32GB, preferably DDR4
- Disk: 1TB or more of either SSD or HD RAID storage
- Network: 1Gb/s Ethernet with 10TB of bandwidth with 5 IPv4 addresses and IPv6
- DDoS Protection: Yes
- Location: Anywhere in the US, preferably eastern US
- Additional: A form of remote management would be very nice (ex. emergency console)
- Budget: ~$40 per month
I found a few deals that would fit the bill on here, however they were either out of stock or in Europe.

Not exactly what you asked for, but they are your only decent options upto 40 dollars. If you can extend your budget, you could probably get a better deal in terms of value for money.
Dacentec?
I'll definitely have to consider Nocix, processor is a bit old but for $40 I can't really complain. I forgot to mention this in the original post, but I'd be willing to trade cores for a more modern CPU, but I'm open to anything in that range.
Would have suggested them, but 1Gbit port is an extra 10 dollars, which makes them tough to recommend in a 40 dollar budget.
A backup must be in different provider instead of the same.
Hey @MrRadic help this poor guy please..
That's going to be tough to do....this is the only thing I have in stock: https://www.reliablesite.net/dedicated-servers/quad-core-server/intel-xeon-e3-1230v3-32GB
Sounds like a @VirMach Buffalo special.
