True. When we are lost there's always VirMach.

Wasn't WPF designed to abstract away the diversity in the first place?

Yeah but the problem is in the backend logic. Too slow

To correct: The problem is not WPF, but the code in C#.

PEBKAC is VirMach spelled backwards ... and inside-out .. on a Dvorak keyboard

    EDIT2: ... while day-drinking.

    EDIT3:

Also - never go full @HostDoc! :scream:

Totally agree. I tried two new to me hosts in the last couple of months. One has deadpooled and the other is unusable. In the future I will only be buying from providers I have existing services with.

What does your app do? C# in itself is not slow if the code is not sloppy. Given you won't use it to write performance and/or real-time stuff (there are far better stacks for that) but for most LOB apps it should be good enough. Do you have access to the backend code or is that just linked in another notorious dll?

EDIT: .NET dlls are not subject to dll hell and you can always decompile the dll if its just pure C#.

I'm certain this is a safe space for many

    Probably.

  • saibal said: What does your app do? C# in itself is not slow if the code is not sloppy

I haven't seen the translation for sloppy yet, but yeah I'm sure it is.

Not my code. I just write the Xaml.

  • There is not much you can do to improve performance if you cannot change the backend code. Get in touch with the dev if possible and see if they can improve anything.

    Anyways, happy Tuesday morning guys.

  • This seem to be a fishy bus ....
