Me and Erawan were able to run quite a few apps including nested virtualization in a 512 MB one.
I think the idle one can go in 250 or so, even less if tweaked to stop some unneeded services. However, if you need it to do something, the standard edition will use some 300 MB+ whatever else the other programs use.
you will need minimum 512 MB+
384MB and 10GB also works
