Australia | KVM 1GB RAM, 20GB SSD AU$4/mo

Member, Host Rep
Hello everyone,
We launched our Australian KVM VPS service in 2014, and are currently available in 4 cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
For 2020 we have two new plans that may be of interest to our LET friends:
- 1 VCPU, 1GB RAM, 20GB SSD, 1TB data @ 1gbps: AU$4.00/mo (~$2.75 USD)
- 1 VCPU, 2GB RAM, 35GB SSD, 2TB data @ 1gbps: AU$9.25/mo (~$6.36 USD)
We have a bespoke control panel with a wide variety of features, some of the more interesting ones are:
- external firewall with web-interface
- good IPv6 support, including a /56 per server and PTR nameserver delegation
- "virtual private cloud" (vxlan) for inter-server communication
- upload/download disk backups
- variety of pre-built distributions or BYO ISO
- load-balancer as-a-service
- OpenStack Compute API support
We have a LG here: http://lg.binarylane.cloud/

Nice got your email regarding this and already switched one of my VPS over to your new plans
Would be nice if your default CentOS 7 images came with 7.7 instead of 7.6 though !
Highly vouch for @BinaryLane have quite a few services with them with awesome uptime
Same here, BinaryLane is one of the best choices in AU.
@eva2000 I'm not sure why, but the latest published genericcloud image for v7 is from August 2019. Not sure if the image is just abandoned now that v8 is available or what.
Few users asking about it here https://github.com/CentOS/sig-cloud-instance-images/issues/150 but no response.
Got a 1 VCPU, 1GB RAM, 20GB SSD, 1TB data in Sydney and benchmarked it.
Australia? Wildfire comes to mind. DC is secure?
Add Adelaide and Hobart and you can have an Aussie DC
cricketleagueYes, the datacentres are all in capital cities; the bushfires are all in regional areas.
@BinaryLane order link?
Try https://www.binarylane.com.au
Yes sorry, should have included link to the website https://www.binarylane.com.au/ . The plans+prices shown are our everyday pricing, you do not need a special link to access.
@BinaryLane other than the sms verification for activation of account- is there any other way?
I have Do Not Disturb turned on with my phone carrier, and I will not get the sms.. thx
Why do you have a phone if you don't want to receive communication?
If you do not know the intent behind DND for text messages and phone calls in India then Google can be a good friend to understand why. Not a perfect system, but works. Albeit with some false positives. 2FA for Wordpress for example.
I do not see the need to receive 70 odd text messages and calls a week. Messages about everything from latest million dollar investment opportunities to getting non prescription drugs home delivered.
And since every second person I know or interact with uses WhatsApp there is limited use for text messaging.
Coming to the topic, my message to Binarylane was a request for an alternative- disabling DND takes upto 7 days, and re enabling takes another 7. 14 or 15 days to receive 1 text message is a lot of overhead for me. If that is not possible for them, then this offer is not for me and I am okay with that. 80 odd ms ping from Perth would be a nice to have but not a must have.
I'm afraid we do not have an alternative validation method currently. Unsolicited commercial SMS is illegal in Australia, so we haven't had to deal with the problem you describe.
Thanks, illegal here too but..
Anyways best wishes with the sale / offers. Cheers
Great service. Rock steady.
Very seductive.
High in potassium. Panel is really cool too. It's an hourly billed "cloud" which isn't mentioned in OP :-)
