in addition to the other excellent options mentioned already such as ExtraVM and HostDoc - I would also take a look at @SmartHost. They've got some interesting locations in the USA (such as Denver and Boston) with 1 GB ram KVM for slightly under $3 monthly as well as an unadvertised KVM resource pool deal (max 5 instances splitting up 2 GB ram for about $7 per month). Good stuff and pretty solid deals IMO.
