  • I wonder how things are going for Virmach. Maybe they're picking up some of the customers that got scammed...Or waiting for their EU servers still...

  • Or to give us some gift as a loyal spammers such we are.

  • Hey, how dare you point out that I'm idling my servers!

I just can't find the right use case for it at the moment!

Well, my projects would happily run on 1 core and 512MB of RAM, but I like to add a "little" headroom for growth ... so I spread it over 3 VPSs with a total of 8 cores and 13GB of RAM

But at the end it cost me the same as 1 core + 1GB RAM elsewhere (if paid monthly).

  • I mostly idle... But I've used my VPS KVMs to run a Minetest server, VPN via SSH proxy and iodined, wget from open shares, try out different distros, and learn Docker and Ansible and a bunch of other random things...

I do have some plans for a new protocol this year, and a few more fun random projects. Maybe you guys can help me beta test!

I am awake and going to install openVZ7 on Centos7 without an ISO.
When some providers say "No custom ISOs" they mean "You can only reinstall from our templates".

EDIT: I will use this challenge as a wonderful learning experience.

  • Yes.

  • Ended up with a blacklisted IP.

    Can't complain for cheap/free shit but... :(
