I don't think anyone can make profit with $6/yr, even a single IPv4 costs more than this, maybe someone can do a $10/yr offer.
If you don't mind not having IPv4, Inception Hosting has a 3 euro/yr plan.
And I'm interested in such an offer too, if any.
We can do 128MB Yearly with SSD Disk for £10 ($15.50) any lower is not worth it for us or I doubt any EU provider. (10GB SSD or 25GB SATA / 128MB RAM / 250GB Outgoing BW / Unmetered Incoming)

seriosuly though you are right it is not intended for anyone's production critical data but then again regardless of the host or service you could loose your data so keep regular backups and no problemo!

I am puzzled to see such low priced VPS in Europe due to higher IP prices in general, compared to USA, as far as i know.
We currently have a 128MB OpenVZ (limited quantity) for 15/yr (using SUMMER30 coupon) includes IPv4.
