We mentioned these offers over at HostBalls at the end of last week. The Root-Server 1000 sold out quickly (in less than 24 hours). The Root-Server 2000 is selling out much less quickly, but it's also a great deal (but at €12.99 people are less inclined to purchase on impulse).
How is the performance?
