99.9% uptime mini VPS
Hi,
I am looking for a high uptime server. Uptime more then 99.9% preferred.
Specs can be very low.
1 core
128+ MB Ram
2+ GB space
100+ GB data
1GBit shared network
IPv4 dedicated IP
Prefered location is somewhere in Asia as the server will be used as a reverse proxy for my other server without dedicated IPs.
Budget around $2 per month.

If you are happy with Los Angeles, try https://tinykvm.com

They seem to be a reseller/part of Ram host. Their review isn't that good online. Anyone have personal experience with them?
Their KVM offers looks quite good.
I got a tinykvm a couple months ago. I think it's pretty nice. They are a brand of ramhost.us, which has been around for a long time, with a good reputation as far as I'm aware. (And for $15, well ... I'm not sure you'll find many other decent options at that price in Los Angeles anyway - unless you wait until black friday / cyber monday to maybe get something from VirMach flash sales).
I had a vps from Hostforce with high uptime, if I don't reboot it last year, maybe it's been 2 years up. Order LINK
For Asian location, if Indonesia is close enough, maybe you can try whplus.com. I'm not with them now, because I switch to BuyVM.
I am still curious. 99% of what? Monthly? Daily? Yearly? Hourly? How do provider calculate this thing.
Use https://securedragon.net/ very high uptime, last year 99.98%, current year 100% (no problems). Recommend.
that's a good question
as per https://uptime.is/
I'm just guessing many providers would prefer to use the yearly reference.
But if one is paying for service on a monthly basis, then that would seem like a good argument to use the monthly calculation.
If we change it to 69
I need a vacation. lol
I'm looking more into network connectivity + server uptime. I think the proper term would be server availability.
That's very good. I'll check them out. Thanks.
+1 for tinykvm though mine is based in Dallas.
Decided to go with Tinykvm under ramhost.
