Awesome, will give it a go in a bit!

  • I'm going to resist my regular impulse to migrate all 5.4 hosts, at least until 6.2 releases or 5 weeks after 6.1

Upgrade to Proxmox 6/Debian 10 went really smooth on my Kimsufi - it's a little used box, so didn't even backup anything. :-o
I reckon I'll go with the @vimalware sentiment and hold off on the other proxmox server, for now.

Any experience you can share with us about this? For example you found some bugs when using version X.0?

I'm especially cautious around ZFS pool version upgrades.

I have replica hardware handy to test a clean install, before live-migrating hobby VMs in a few months. (pve-zsync is cool!)
I'd only move Production VMs , weeks after that.

    Same

an upgrade via dist-upgrade on a test box ran without issues. only the glusterfs client (newer version from gluster repo) needed adjustment. however, just an idling box with no guests/clients attached. no cluster or other fancy things. looks pretty normal though...

update for production box? maybe in 6 months... :-D

Dayum, Proxmox 5.x is EOL in 1 year.
Its time to invest into BUSTER.
