PDNS Manager experiences

v3ngv3ng Member, Host Rep

Hi,

I‘m currently thinking about self hosting the nameservers for my domains, both the Primary and Slave, or maybe only a hidden primary.

While searching for a tool with a nice UI, I just discovered PDNS Manager

Has anyone used PDNS Manager before and can share some experiences?

Thanks!

If hosting your own DNS is too difficult try app.dnsmanager.io

Still using the old php version, works fine.
No idea about the new v2.

    Thumbs up to PDNS.

I'm using it since last 4 to 5 years with 1 master and 4 slaves synced using MySQL master-slave setup for around 100 Domains ( of course not that huge traffic) sites.

But I have not used the PDNS Manager as we use our dashboard to populate and manipulate DNS records directly inside the MYSQL tables.

  • i use octodns and gitlab-ci to manage my domains
