100GB NVMe,nice.
and then there were two ...
@cybertech - heads up
100GB NVMe SSD $6/mo
Oh boy!
Oh boy!
I'm very keenly interested in that
512MB DDR$ RAM
I love RAM that spews $ on usage...
I hate RAM that chews $ on usage...
65 MB/s to Chicago, 7 seconds to Mars!
(to HostHatch / Psychz Chicago)
feels good man
cpu is respectable, E-2136 seems to be clocked at 3.3 GHz, 16 MB cache
haven't "optimized" the disk performance yet but seeing sequential writes to LVM on LUKS at 850+ MB/s
seems to be a pretty decent deal all around for $6
EDIT2:
on closer inspection, speed to Mars seems to vary between from about 3 to almost 23 minutes. I was about to put in a support ticket but got a response before I could even hit the submit button - apologizing for the limitations of the speed of light. Apparently they're working on some experimental wormhole cache which may explain my initial faster-than-light results ... something to look forward to I guess, hopefully it may be ready for release by next Black Friday.
Nice offer , 100G NVMe...speed also pretty good
Does it mean only 3 available?
Oh boy, I need to hurry.
good deal. still holding out mate, after recent disappointments
who hurt you?
EDIT2:
don't worry, there will be others
f***pipe , and another which is ok after all but no use for 20GB ram
@cybertech - yeah, that's living la vida low-end for ya -
sometimes it's good to take a break and enjoy what you've already got.
I'm just glad I'm not hooked on gameserver dedis or something like that ...
just wanted another extraVM, that's all. (I can quit any time I want!)
Just one more little servery-poo randers then I'll stop, I promise bud!
yeah not so much gaming vps; now after ECC ones... the E-2136 is indeed new poison especially with NVMe.
the 1GB DDR4 ECC on this one is just enough to wet my whistle
I managed to hold out for a few hours though ...
enjoyed the delusion of control for a while, until I was over it ...
then checked some benchmarks and was off to the races lol
You deleted my account?i try "Lost Password Reset" view "No client account was found with the email address you entered",and i Register view "The following errors occurred:
A user already exists with that email address
Please complete the captcha to continue"
Maybe because I didn't buy anything.
Oh! Out of stock
I wasn't interested when I saw this thread with no comments. Now that it's OOS, I really want it.
Oh the mind.
I don't think I deleted your account, I've been asleep, but I don't know who you are.
Has the i/o problem been fixed quickly?
Those types of catch 22's can happen when you've signed up for something but haven't clicked the verify email url that got emailed to you. So the account is in limbo.
@ZRBLOG Your account was closed 2-3 weeks ago, I won't state why here, but I re-opened it. Either way you were too late if you wanted the promo plan anyway.
I have have more in 2-3 weeks in other locations.
It's okay now.
I guess you'll have to get one of mine then.
This is an invalid response.
yarrrr ... samples so far indicate this is indeed the pharmaceutical-grade NVMe
"when you boot it, you'll know where those extra $2 per month went"
some iops please?
The name is the same, "zbrlog". A new password was sent to you earlier. Just open a ticket if there are problems.
The E-2136 NVMe VPS plans use MZQLB1T9HAJR-00007 drives. They aren't the fastest write/highest iops for NVMe, but they are higher capacity enterprise drives.
Eventually, the NVMe plans will be phased out as the KVM Game plans switch to only NVMe.
canada NVMe now looky interesting. will lie in ambush for the next wave.+
is the canada looking glass rate limited?
No, but it is slower than it should be. The BHS looking glass is on one of the KVM Game servers and they are still capped at 250Mbps, I was able to get around 200Mbps on it.
Quick anecdotal review of the 512MB / 6GB NVMe VM:
Pros:
Cons:
Summary:
There were some initial growing pains going in, however, support was responsive and honest. They calmly worked through the issue and offered multiple options as solutions instead of forcing the issue - refund, moving to another node, etc. Sent out an announcement to all customers on the affected node and communicated well with customers during the migration to a new node - which after the services have now been stable.
Panel was easy to use and offered all the functionality I was looking for. Server deployment was painless and the server snappy. rDNS updates can be done from the panel easily.
Overall usability, ease of setup and quality is a 9/10 after a month of services. Have a 6 month term, so will try to check back as that term ends with any changes in service level.
my 2 cents.
Cheers!
