Looking for VPS for video encoding

I need a vps or a semi-dedi that allows video encoding. I want KVM so I can install windows on it. You don't need to provide license.

50GB Space
2GB Ram
1TB Bandwidth
4 Cores (more would be nice)
Windows (I provide my own license)

$25/month

@ruriko You're probably better with a semi dedicated or a dedicated server rather than VPS.

  • host likely wouldn't like such a high CPU activity. Look into OVH kumisoft servers. http://www.ovh.co.uk/dedicated_servers/kimsufi.xml

    bluevm quarter or half servers

  • RurikoRuriko Member

@jcaleb I don't see bluevm having quarter servers...

@Ruriko they offered it before. maybe need to message them direct if there is stocks

  • BlueVM will have semi-dedicated servers again soon (tm). Semi-Dedi servers have dedicated CPU Resources, so you could use it at 100% and not run into issues. I don't have a specific ETA on when we'll have them, but it will likely be after Feathur is implemented.

Where do people get Windows licenses anyway? All I see is this $499 licensing and confusing CAL stuff.

@Zetta I got my license for free from WebsiteSpark but they no longer accepting new registerations

    There's also Bizspark

  • And DreamSpark for students. *Spark!
