Seeking 2Gbps unmetered dedicated server or KVM machine (any location)
Hello,
I'm seeking a server with 1-2Gbps unmetered (prefer 2) in any location. I do exceed 50TB per month in traffic, and I'm hovering very high consistently. My existing provider just jumped my rate from $150 to $300 out of no where (no warning), citing the cost of bandwidth increased for them.
My current server is:
E3-1245v3 / 32GB memory / 4x2TB HDD + 2x240GB SSD / 1Gbit unmetered with 2Gbit burst during off-peak hours (before 10am, after 4pm GMT). Price was $150, now $300.
I'm ideally looking for lower rate to match around what I previously was paying ($150).
Server is used for:
- light seedboxing
- archiving of content (main use)
- backups from my other servers
- friends and I host numerous game servers (however moving to OVH shortly for game ddos protection), ddos has never been an issue before as it's just for our circle of friends & family
Can anyone here provide?

2 hetzner auction servers?
I prefer 1 server
Don't be cheap and upgrade the server to have 2 x gbit nics and use bonding. Done.
Cheers!
Hetzner allows this?
Hetzner does it all
We can do this for you. Contact us Here.
Get this one for literally 6 times cheaper: https://www.soyoustart.com/fr/offres/1901sys53.xml
If your main use is "archiving of content", it will do fine as it has 1 Gbit incoming.
Check out seedhost.eu but it comes with 100TB, and strangely counts incomming too! So if you have only say 20TB incommig it should work out. But maybe they can go umetered or 200TB in+out for ~150$ or less. Ask them.
Seedbox.io does totally custom offers for sure, so contact them too.
datapacket.com has higher prices listed, but a lot of HW and DC choices. Maybe they can offer something custom, and give a big discount on bandwidth in one of their locations (prague?).
All of them are seedbox friendly and know what they are doing. Seedhost however is known to often ignore pre sales questions for some reason. But thats usually people who want to pay less than 10 bucks, so...
Edit: online.net maybe?
Edit2: Do you need the exact same HW/performance? Especially the SSDs?
Edit3: worldstream.nl either custom or off the shelf.
Edit4: Andy10gbit on reddit is also worth contacting. He resells Leaseweb, NForce, OVH, and some times online.net and hetzner for low prices and also tunes them for high thoughput.

Edit5: Or how about this?: https://xirvik.com/order/server/137-server-leaseweb-whale-nl
An upgrade to 2G is probably doable.
Or this: https://hostdzire.com - pure reseller from india. Support may vary.
The good thing is, with that budget there are many options if you know where to look. And most hosters are probably open for custom configs and special deals.
Quick, HIDE before the LEB addiction mob get their pitchforks.
Hetzner allows adding in single or dual 10gbit NIC for 8 to 15 eur/m. No idea about internet traffic just because you get the NIC.
https://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Root_Server_Hardware/en#Miscellaneous
They charge €39.00 for a single 10GE dedicated uplink and €32.77 I believe to move the server to a rack that supports 10GE uplinks. All prices ex VAT
hello, can i ask about bounding network for streaming video? ex: i have 2 server same 1Gbps same DC (hetzner). what type mode bounding for it? thank you.
Yet another possible option:
https://www.reddit.com/r/seedboxes/comments/b8mosn/looking_for_a_new_host_gbit_unmetered_weve_got/
This seemed good. I purchased, so far network speed is good. I am able to do 2G consistently, and it's not very expensive.
Can you upgrade the NICs on auction servers?
I don't work for Hetzner so maybe asking @Hetzner_OL would be more useful?
Cheers!
Hi @jiiikoo, in general it is possible. For our auction servers we offer hardware upgrades / addons: https://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Root_Server_Hardware/en. However, not every upgrade is possible for every server. Customers can ask if a NIC upgrade for the server in question is possible directily via Robot or support. It may well be that it’s better for the customer to pay attention to the required equipment right at the time of purchase. --Julia, Marketing
@Hetzner_OL Hi,
as I get it right, it's possible to add one more gigabit NIC to the server and create a bonding. But still you can't utilize this bonding more than 1Gbps because of 1Gbps uplink, correct?

Hi @chlapek, I'm afraid I don't have the technical knowledge to discuss the details but if you like I can forward this question to our product advice department for you.

That would be awesome! thx!
These spec's look like Hetzner.
We provide 1 Gbps unmetered Dedicated server in LA, same location as our VPS Network
Looking Glass: http://lg.la.hosteons.com
https://hosteons.com/ddos_protected_dedicated_servers.php
20 Gbps DDOS protection included.
Starting at just $85 per month
Now that you mention it. Yes it looks indeed hetzner'ish (Core-i 7 instead of XEON, 1Gbit unmetered cheap, germany). But at least in AMS/NL it can't be Hetzner. They only have a bunch of DCs in Nuremberg/DE, in Falkenstein/DE and 1 in Helsinki/FI.
Hello,
We could look to offer this in Miami if you wish?
E3-1231v3
32GB RAM
2x4TB HDD
1Gbit unmetered (2Gbit available)
$150/mo
Send a PM/Open a ticket to order as this would be a custom build
Curious about that 'archyving' thing. 2gbit constant usage is 100TB+. That is disgustingly huge bandwidth consumption. What do you store?

You can also request product advice through support tickets. There is a support category for that.
That's right. This would probably be a faster and more simple solution if you have further questions related to that topic. Here's our official support form: https://www.hetzner.com/support-form. --Julia, Marketing
