    Well, since everyone loves benchmarks, I thought I'd really waste some cycles and run unixbench. One of my KVM:

    CPU 0: QEMU Virtual CPU version (cpu64-rhel6) (4400.0 bogomips)

2 CPUs in system; running 1 parallel copy of tests
System Benchmarks Index Score                                         239.4
2 CPUs in system; running 2 parallel copies of tests
System Benchmarks Index Score                                         464.9

    My $3/yr OpenVZ special does quite a bit better:

    CPU 0: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v3 @ 2.40GHz (4800.5 bogomips)

2 CPUs in system; running 1 parallel copy of tests
System Benchmarks Index Score                                         809.6
2 CPUs in system; running 2 parallel copies of tests
System Benchmarks Index Score                                        1306.1

    My Pro+ actually gets beat by my cheap BF special, but is still worlds faster than my KVM:

    CPU 0: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2660 v2 @ 2.20GHz (4399.9 bogomips)

3 CPUs in system; running 1 parallel copy of tests
System Benchmarks Index Score                                         592.3
3 CPUs in system; running 3 parallel copies of tests
System Benchmarks Index Score                                        1264.2

1 CPU in system; running 1 parallel copy of tests
