    @JabJab Sorry about that, I don't want to attract people PM-ing me for hints so I didn't announce I got it earlier. Sharing of hints are great but this is given that both party have already put in a significant amount of hardwork.

  • Are you guys discussing codes that VirMach posted on page 95 (pastebin) and then later deleted, correct?

    Nah, a different one :smile:

  • I think I already used it, can only use it once per user right? PM me please.

  • So, page 102, what we should do now?

    Can't do that, I have to work to pay the E3.

    For the error "Virtual server not found" I think it's a issue with the node as I got this error on two different server and one of the node is listed in the network status. ( Cannot be sure as I didn't setup monitor yet)

    EDIT: nevermind

  • VirMach said: Same rules, so yes, but I'm probably not going to check this batch. We're closing down the promotion code in 2 MINUTES so please get it while you can, because I don't want to see more sad faces.

    Hmm I ordered, PMed. Went into Pending and now showing as Cancelled :neutral:

  • Mine is Pending. I'm in no rush.

    There's another easter egg left on top of the SSD32G. Some people finally figured it out so it won't be around for long.

    Almost 100k views and the thread has been set to sink. Oh Virmach.

  • I'm still hoping VirMach does another more "normal" flash sale of leftover inventory, these easter eggs are making me feel dumb and/or blind.

    We need to hit 100k views...

    Maybe at Christmas...?

  • While others are after the crunchy precious eggses and silent, will bump the thread a bit.

    The CPU clock speed has been fixed on my openVZ VPS

    These should all be done. If anyone else still has a problem with the clock rates, now is the time to contact us.

    @VirMach, I have a problem/question regarding this matter:

    I've got a 2x vCORE VPS and like others saw the frequencies halved. Now the frequencies shown are correct, but the performance did not change.

    At least dd md5sum result is the same.

    I assume this isn't something to be expected? What should I do?

    What's the exact benchmark you are running?

  • Random question.. Is there anyway to validate the NIC speed under virtualization? things like ethtool or /sys/class/net/eth0/speed return -1

    Random answer.

    In other words how do you verify from the VPS itself (not the control panel) that your port speed is 10 Gigabit or 1 Gigabit.

    Try to upload or download from/to a server that you know that can do 10 Gigabit ? ( With iperf for example)

    I never got BLACKSUIT to work. I wonder what it was used for.

  • Just got told that cpu passthrough is not available on specials (really?), eliminating my hope (and expectation) for the aes cpu flag availability for the vps I purchased to set up a personal openvpn server. Disappointed, don't remember that condition being mentioned beforehand, and it was not true with my prior services with virmach.

    Is it really more costly or negatively impactful to virmach to allow the aes flag on my vps? I never knew that to be the case. What if I ask pretty please?

  • wdog said: Just got told that cpu passthrough is not available on specials (really?), eliminating my hope (and expectation) for the aes cpu flag availability for the vps I purchased to set up a personal openvpn server. Disappointed

    Oh that is disappointing.

    It seems a no brainer to me to disallow these flags (esp. AES) as it just results in poor performance on the host. Why prevent it when you pretty much get a huge performance boost if you enable it is something I don't understand at all.

    I can understand if it's support overhead (at least temporarily) but I hope they will eventually get around to supporting this via Ticket.

    @VirMach - pretty please?
