oh no, today and yesterday's quick 3 month special was at about 4am SAT... alas, I was weak and asleep both times
@VirMach will there maybe be 1 more tomorrow, so that I can set my alarm to be in time?
I would like to say that I was wrong, oh so wrong, you guys absolutely smashed BF and CM beyond anyone’s imagination and pummelled in to the ground any past performances by any host here in history during this period.
We usually have a BF and CM round up after the sales to see who did what, this year it would be pointless you guys took gold silver and bronze and I bow down to your superior sales.
Thank you for playing the biggest part in the BF and CM event in LET history.
I thought it was a strange first offer you guys made with strange terms I jumped to a conclusion, I am human, I am wrong.
How much space do you need?
Yeah I did see some mention of that. OpenVZ? Buffalo? It doesn't really matter, I barely use it anyway.
Isaacl I think all the promos are over? The regular storage deal is decent of course.
Why do people make a big stink over OVZ? Or does everyone here have KVM specific use cases?
BUFPROMOLET3MOCM

BLACKSUIT
FREE
What was the BLACKSUIT for?
No idea, didn't try.
Catwoman.
Probably @VirMach showing up at your front door in full-body black latex suit.
I want that last egg but not even VirMach giving me any hints.
Said the one who already got the 12 months SSD32G. I am still hoping to get a free plan, I am happy even if it is just a SSD4G for life.
Well I'm trying to reset the password to get into the server I won, but I got this: "The web server reported a gateway time-out error."
Yay!!! No welcome email or password reset... Probably it'll fix itself soon, I'm patient.
Edit: @virmach is it suppose to worry me that I didn't get a welcome email, I can't reset the password, or use the username provided from the billing panel to reset the solusvm password? I can't access any of it, all I know is the IP address...
I never used any of those I discovered so far.
EDIT:
Typo.
Probably for SSD1G
I was the winner, I got the active server... just that I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to get in...
I'm all good with it, it's free so I can't ask for much, hopefully it'll get fixed. At least the server itself is online, was able to ping it, but I can't get into it.
VirMach got to fix this.
I only said that because I saw someone else do it by putting a link into their signature claiming it was a free VPS to be linked to a post that has ~100 thanks. I can't remember who did that.
You are missing LET90OFFFLASHDEAL that you are supposed to "revere"? and add 6 somewhere.
And the hidden message THATSALLFOLKS that is NOT a coupon code.
Before doing that, if you're good with "Developer Mode" of your browser, you can check the POST'ed data to find your username when you click on the "Control Panel" link from your client area (billing) page.
Be patient about both the mails (first the request mail, and then the resetting mail) reaching your inbox however! I was a bit impatient, and the system "blacklisted" me, after 2-3 tries to have the e-mail resent! It did get resolved later, but I don't know if it was just by enough time passing, or my coincidental modem reboot for another issue.
It was in this post for product id=82, which is nice little SSD1G with 35GB SSD for $5 (or 7?)/month - but I'm guessing was [almost] free with promo.
Yeah, only god knows how many different versions of that I've tried?!?
My OpenVZ VPS's CPU low frequent problem now fixed. But I can only use 50% cpu when I run some heavy working.
Is this restriction normal?
D'oh! Better yet, just view the source code of the page with the "Control Panel" button, and search for "username"!
Yes, that's normal. The resources are shared among different clients, only dedicated servers can be utilized fully by one client. You can use programs like nice and cpulimit to keep your load in check but it's not bulletproof and I don't know what would work for Windows. Actually, I'm not even sure about nice and cpulimit all that much.
While cpulimit might work, nice will just change the process priority.
Is there an app that will definitely work and not just might? Like if I don't care for bursts and just want to cap myself permanently at 45%, for example?
No idea, never used such thing.
Why would you... hoarding free dedis... evil toad...
Well, no.
My dedis are all payed for.
hoarding paid dedis?
Next level!
