testing drive read/write speeds
Is there a way to test read/write speeds on a shared host that is running cPanel? Keeping in mine I only have access to the single cPanel account. I do have ssh access but it seems to be limited in what I can do. My client is complaining that it is my fault but in just page speed tests show it is slow and moving the site to my test server it runs fine. I am not that familiar with cPanel so maybe I am missing something here? Can I do any testing that will help me out?
Thank you
G

@eol I cannot run dd . I assume this is an issue of shared hosting in cPanel?
Write or surf for a python program or PHP script that benchmarks disk I/O and install it as a webpage.
Sorry.
I got no experience with shared hosting.
hdparm -Tt /dev/sd*
@donli do you know of one? I searched for some before I started this post. @eol thank you, I know the feeling about shared hosting. @krenken seems like I cannot run commands like hdparm
If you have ssh access you might be able to run this directly from the command line:

What shared host are you on?
