    Sorry to ask here.
How to use the "mount ISO" option to install other OS?

Noob question. What does this 1 gigabit, 2 gigabit etc. against OpenVZ and KVM mean?

I see FAT32 already gave you an answer but are you sure a VPS is for you? What is your intended use?

Stock varies, so they could've only had 1 or 2 available. While it's light on storage, that's still a 2GB KVM for only $1.50/mo...

Are all the deals going to be SSD? I'm hoping for a bit more storage and the most I've seen is 40GB SSD.

    Yes, all will be SSD.

v3ng said: The deals look great, but urgs, no IPv6..

Yep, sorry. If you happen to get a Serverhub deal, and shoot me us a private message here we might be able to arrange something for you. However, we still have no full support for it which means it could run into problems (IPv6.)

tridinebandim said: was trying "simcrafted" as coupon ...

You're definitely thinking in the right direction. With people viewing the source code of the page to find the Easter eggs, they might start getting harder.

JohnMiller92 said: Just curious, what's the lowest value per year? $8?

JohnMiller92 said: Oh shit, $4.90? Never seen it go that low

We are reaching true end-game. Much better than D3's, that I can tell you

That's about as low as they go unless a crazy manual deal appears. The minimum is somewhere around there and we have some hard limits set to make sure the automated script doesn't just hand out plans for free, that's my job.

datanoise said: This year it seems like it was "free" but not many people have been able to grab it...

We definitely put a good quantity amount for all the deals we post, minus anything added to the flash sale by our automatic script (those could be higher or lower than usual.) It should be enough for most LET members grab them.

We'll never post something good and put the quantity to let's say 1, and pretend it sold out quick.

just4sc said: It started as that....then took over five minutes to reappear...weird...

JohnMiller92 said: Might have hit a CF rate limiter or something. I just periodically refresh every 15-20 seconds. Should be fine..

There's a lot of different systems at play to try to keep our websites up. It's possible one of those could go wrong at the crazy traffic volumes we've seen today.

tridinebandim said: someone reveal the eggs pls.

    😳

plumberg said: Can we expect free vps to come again?

Probably not. That was a special doorbuster deal for LET members that were here near the start.

tommy1412 said: I can't make payment for the $4.90/yr one, returned 504 error page when click Complete Order, and now got two invoices for this, what should I do?

That's definitely not expected. If anyone paid the two invoices and then contacted us we would try to sort it out, or at least refund you. With the flash deals we cannot fix errors immediately as they come up so any other solution would be better.

thenet said: 8Ram and 15G SSD , it must have more space .

A lot of the cheaper large RAM & CPU offers will naturally have less disk space; we're not charging you for the disk, that's why it ends up being extremely cheap.

These would have their uses. Plenty of high memory and CPU scripts do not require much space. I believe this one sold out pretty quickly for that reason.

pullangcubo said: SIGH, I wish there was a deal with 6 CPU, 16GB RAM, and 250GB SSD with 8TB bandwidth...or even higher specs perhaps...

I'm not even going to hide this one, but it's not going to be free. We'll do it as cheap as we can right now.

Did you want it to be fully dedicated or fair use? KVM or OpenVZ? It sounds like you're describing the SSD16G package and we can do that, but it will cost you.

datanoise said: I think it's because offers are created by a script, based on what resources are available on servers. There might be too much RAM on a node, but not that much storage space available for example...

Yes, so we manually reduce the RAM and undersell it for some of these to create cheaper deals, or we leave it high and sell it slightly lower. If it's the automatic script only, it will account for everything pretty programmatically. They still should come out okay, and we try to monitor it to change it as the automatic script adds more plans.

JohnMiller92 said: I think I might be retarded.

JabJab said: It's veeeeeeery well hidden, it's like sooooooo small

How to use the "mount ISO" option to install other OS?

You mount their existing ISO or submit a ticket to add a custom one, reboot the server and use VNC to install the OS from the scratch.

I am already using a VPS (VirMach) and hosting a site but I was confused about this gigabit thing which was written just after openvz and kvm like "OpenVZ - 10gigabit" and thought may be this is related to host CPU and stupid me didn't realize this is port speed.

  • Amsterdam deal

  • @VirMach Yeah, we've been kinda chatty. Lots for you to catch up with lol

  • Lol. This thread. Lovin it

  • LOL...I'm not sure why I'm still looking...I already bit on the OVZ pro+ deal that was posted on LEB...but the thrill of getting something cheaper, better, faster...and all that...I guess...:)

What I really don't quite get is under which conditions you offer Windows support.

There was a VPS with 1,75 GB RM / 20 GB SSD that had Windows, and now the current 4 GB RAM / 50 GB SSD has not.
How in gods name do you decide if to allow it or not?

[EDIT] AAaaaaah of course... it's OpenVZ.
    Sorry.
    Could have noticed that.
    My mistake.

  • I've been in this thread for like 16 hours, replying with offers for over half of that I think. I should sleep I suppose at some point lol

    N-O.

  • Well, the 4gb, 50gd is openvz.. So windows won't work with that. Otherwise, I don't know their parameters

Yeah...maybe for a couple at least...thanks for posting, tho!

    It's only 8:38PM here :smirk:

  • It's like 3:40pm here. I just keep a weird schedule and have little else to do really until I find work that I can do from home (back injury last Christmas so this year has been pretty boring while I heal).

Hi guys, just an important update in between all this. We are aware of some packages not creating. We can pretty much guarantee your package will be created in the future if you paid and did not receive it due to a problem with our provisioning system, for the following locations -- KVM: Seattle, Buffalo, Dallas, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Chicago. (Edit) OpenVZ should not be a problem either for most locations. These errors occur more for the higher quantity sales that are lower priced, naturally, because too many VMs are being created together in such a short period of time and WHMCS/SolusVM is not designed to handle that very smoothly.

For everything else, it will be harder but we're trying to get you in as soon as possible.

At the very worst case scenario, you will obviously be refunded if you did not receive a package.

just4sc said: LOL...I'm not sure why I'm still looking...I already bit on the OVZ pro+ deal that was posted on LEB...but the thrill of getting something cheaper, better, faster...and all that...I guess...:)

We're counting on you to buy too many packages and let them idle.

Daevien said: I've been in this thread for like 16 hours, replying with offers for over half of that I think. I should sleep I suppose at some point lol

We need you, it's much cheaper than paying our employees to post it here.

Crab said: You mount their existing ISO or submit a ticket to add a custom one, reboot the server and use VNC to install the OS from the scratch.

I would warn people that need a custom ISO that it may take a few days versus a few hours like usual.

Daevien said: Well, the 4gb, 50gd is openvz.. So windows won't work with that. Otherwise, I don't know their parameters

We may or may not have an accidental OpenVZ deal with Windows depending on how much sleep everyone got on our side.
