Issue with OpenVZ Reboots
Hello,
I'm not sure if anybody else has had this issue, but...
When somebody reboots their VPS, it doesn't come back up. It stays as the "mounted" status and I have to go and manually boot the container (vzctl start CTID) in order for it to come back up.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dominic

You can try to reboot it manually and look at errors.
There don't seem to be any errors. It's just when somebody reboots their VPS, it gets stuck at the "mounted" status. When I run vzctl start CTID, it boots fine. But I can't do that all the time! :P
Create container, go to node, issue a reboot, watch for errors.
You may even find in logs.
TBH i remember having a similar issue some time ago, but dont remember the cause.
Check if vzeventd is running on the node.
Didn't mean to thank, wrong button!
It is indeed running.
Still try restarting it and see if it helps.
/etc/init.d/vzeventd restart
Will see what happens, thx.
Is the vps rebooted from inside the vps or from the control panel?
Is it every VPS on the node or just ones with matching Dump files in /vz/dump?
i had similar issue with buyvm, they fixed it though
