Seems ovh is getting their own domain name extension.

Maybe they will finally redo their silly nonexistent rDNS entries like "fr.eu" and "qc.ca" which appear on traceroutes to add .ovh and make them forward-resolvable too. But it's not like they couldn't have simply used ".ovh.net" instead.

I thought by default they do it on the default hostname of the server now, which is forward-resolvable?

The rDNS entry from the server IP is resolvable.
    (nsXXXXXXX.ovh.net)

Probably the first actually useful use of these new TLDs in my opinion.
