OpenVZ / XEN / KVM
I have been doing technical work for hosting companies for a few years now and have been getting allot of them asking me which people prefer when looking for a VPS. Now I know the technical differences between them and what the benefits and pitfalls are technically.
I am curious when you are looking for a VPS which would you prefer?
PS. the payment gateway discussion is what made me decide to post this ![]()

For me, it depends on what I'm using the VPS for. If I need just a basic environment, I use OpenVZ. If I need a custom kernel or custom kernel modules or something else that can't be done with OpenVZ, then I'd use Xen or KVM.

Thanks, I searched and searched before I posted just never thought of searching that term
Actually I just remember the discussion. Not a biggie though. Just would rather keep everything in one place so folks can find it easier.
