Well, "American nature" basically means host anywhere but the U.S. Most terms of service/AUP are to protect the host from abuse, not to peek into your files and invade your privacy.
Edit: If you're just wanting to share your opinions on shit then yes, anywhere that isn't a dictatorship and a place that the host doesn't mind getting hit with the shit that could potentially fly their way.
Judging purely by how many SJW's flock to the twittersphere/blogspace to demand certain websites to be taken down, I'd say @Francisco with BuyVM. The man takes his first amendment very seriously.
Don't remind me, I still get daily hate mail.
If you want your freedom of speech protected because you're about to say some crazy ass shit, stay in the States as it's the safest place. The worst that'll happen is your, and your hosts, names will get dragged through the mud. If you're in Europe and other places you can get into a lot of trouble for certain sites.
If you're afraid of the govt. spying on you, many European countries are a good choice. Really, this doesn't matter much though since the 3 letter ORG's have their testicles (calm down raindog) on every fiber run with agreements with everyone to capture/process information.
Is becoming more and more true.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not worried about the host looking into my files. If I don't own the hardware I have no expectation of privacy. I'm thinking more of the restrictions on what I can do with the service.
It's lines like the following I don't like:
"Disseminate or transmit any material that, to a reasonable person may be abusive, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, harassing, grossly offensive, vulgar, threatening or malicious."
You couldn't even host LET with that agreement because the vulgar clause. I'd like to know which providers are the least restrictive in hosted content.
Lets be real, a lot of hosts haven't actually read their own TOS. There's more than a few hosts that paid for a whitelabel one from a group, or just string replace their upstreams.
In my case, we wrote ours and recently because of some questionable users proxying through us, we've taken a "Law of the Land" policy. If you aren't breaking the law within the country you're hosting within, I'll shrug it.

I would look for reliability then. A host that is open controversial content, like SPAM, hate stuff, malware hosting etc. is more likely to have his IPs blocked.
re: OP's requirement:
First brand that comes to mind is BuyVm. (buy a VM and forget about it)
But... STOCK

But look at all of the free press! Should add "As Seen In: The New Yorker" to the homepage
Wait what? Sorry I don't follow the merchandise part. Can you explain this a bit further?

Got a ticket ID? I'd love to see it. An email for the account, an invoice ID. Some proof is always welcome.
I get a lot of complaints, some amazon crap is so far off the radar for something I care about given we literally get written up in The Newyorker.

We don't abuse services like that, why would I compromise our reputation within the Fraudrecord community to spite someone if I'm truly in the wrong?
Anyway, I'm sure there's a lot more to the story like you were doing something malicious or similar. If you wish to share a ticket I'll gladly take public fault if it proves to be Aldryic or Valentin were heavy handed for the sake of being so.

Possibly UrDN.

So BuyVM and Urdn. I'll take a look, thanks.

@francisco - Would you please elaborate? Specifically, which type of sites can get you into a lot of trouble in Europe?

Anything they claim as a hate crime, nazi crap, etc.

FlokiNET presents themselves to be friendly to free speech. Based in Iceland legally, also sells services out of Voxility in Romania.
Never used them myself, but they have been hosting a particular email service provider who is pretty regularly a subject of free speech type issues.
From their abuse page
Like @Francisco said though, your best bet is likely going to be in the states. In which case I would double-down on recommending BuyVM. In my experience, Fran and his team take abuse reports and other account issues seriously and deal with them with great care; whereas other hosts might just ToS you after a single person whines too loudly or airs their grievances with scary law firm letterheads.
Just look up where all the hate groups in the us is hosting at...
@Tucker, can you tell the name of the email-service hosted by floki?
@needavps, i dont know hate groups. can you please tell where this groups are hosted?
If you don't know than why you even need to look for "freedom" hosts?!!!!!! Just buy on monthly and move around. You can't possibly have anything worth losing over if you need to ask.
@JaySherman a man stands with his words, mate.
