Seedhost.eu Seedbox Review - June 2018

The decision to purchase a seedbox can be based on a variety of reasons which are all heavily dependent on the user. For me I wanted a provider that was reliable, had good support, and respected my privacy as a customer. While doing research, one name kept coming up: Seedhost. I decided to give them a shot in November of 2016 and I haven't switched away since.

(Proof you can see I've been a customer quite some time)

Since that time, the majority of my seeding and leeching as been on private trackers, but I have seeded and leeched a significant amount on public trackers. I can't say if it's pure luck, but I have never received a DMCA notice or warning.

Here's some examples of speeds: Downloading at 1.1Gbps!

Uploading at 92Mb/s!

As you can see the monthly traffic and hdd space are VERY generous.

In addition to ruTorrent they have a wide variety of add-ons such as Plex which I use to stream my media to my home devices via Roku. Anyways if you're looking for a reliable, affordable seedbox with lots of add-ons then I recommend you check out Seedhost!

  • I liked their performance too, and it was a lot of storage for the price.

Ultimately, I switched back to something US-based after being with seedhost, both because I wanted the control of a dedi again and because Plex performance was spotty to the Midwest US at times, but ultimately it is one of the better rented seedboxes I've had in terms of space/features/performance for the price

  • @skarz where do you think their server located and whose their provider?

I'm a shill just because I've been a happy customer for two years? Where's the tin foil hat emoji...

  • Years back, I have used WhatBox, FeralHosting, and BytesizedHosting for seedbox to maximize upload and download, super speed and unlimited bandwidth were key figures...

Nowadays, I just use those sites with bonus points system or ratioless. So my requirement now to a seedbox becomes merely "seeding": a big storage, "ok" bandwidth, speed is not so important anymore...
