Zoolz 1tb "lifetime" storage offer $29.99
Anyone use them? Saw a post from last year on here about them. Not looking to keep personal stuff on there.
Comments
Why would you trust one time fee storage?
stay far away, no matter who offering them
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Some idiot said that.
Buddha said ‘nothing is forever except change’.
I give it 6-12 months tops
"lifetime" hahahaha...
It was just for general file sharing between family nothing important and I realise lifetime is very ambiguous ha.
Ironically, the asshat interpretation of that is even true - you can buy bronze age coins on eBay and I imagine you can find some from the 5th century BC when da Gaut was around. You can definitely get some from early Roman Republic, the Greek states, etc.
Now, for the offer...
Imagine if these offers were around in 1988 or so. "1GB LIFETIME, $29.95".
Whoa...that's like a TON of floppies. Even using 1.44MB floppies, that's STILL a TON of space.
30 years later...would you still even use it? 30 years from now, 1TB may be similarly useless.
Bah, 30 years later..., I'd be 5 feet under.
Is it "lifetime"?
Have used zoolz before in one of those sales. I would not recommend it.
I'm using this offer for about one year for some unimportant shit. Never had any problems with them.
It started good but then bad n bad n bad
I wish I had bought 1fichier lifetime rather than that :P 1Fichier acctually has proven to be really nice
I have buy it. I not recommended you. The apps isnt nice. Find other else.
safe enough to keep ex nude pics on it? I don't want my current gf find out.
Boing Boing has been promoting this offer since 2017. Take it or leave it.
The zoolz desktop app is really crap for sure.
Safe enough to keep nude pics, i'm storing some iso's on it and it works great.
Better not risk it...send them to me and I will store them for you.
pcloud lifetime for 350€ seems more like a solid solution if anything.
Whose lifetime? Yours or their comany's?
earths
I saw it but, wasn't interested. I don't believe they have a Linux client. For me, it is a requirement to use solutions that allow me to work in Linux, MacOS, Windows and Android. That way, if I need I file, I can get to it.
