    Arent the fees going to cost more than $5 any way?

    @stefeman, maybe you prefer LTC or BCH? The fees are much much lower. Or if you have a Coinbase account, transfers within CB can be free.

    Fees aren't much these days, around 10 satoshis for a fast transaction (~0.20usd). See: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

    ...but yes. You are somewhat right. BTC mempool can explode anytime, thus bumping the fee to ridiculous amounts. At present, we have a demurrage in the cryptocurrency market

    That's not too bad. Economical for any transaction of $20 or above.
