  • We do in some places for ipmi and the like.

    VPN or firewall, VPN is best if you're management stations are mobile.

    Yup.

    Access to the production servers are limited to just a handful of VPN-only LEBs.
    Serves as a form of security, especially considering that I often have to connect from insecure WiFi networks :(
