Crap for anything else, but for the HDD space (backup storage)

Wat, 8.38 with VAT? my old one is about 9.60.
Interesting, new stuff is cheaper then old deals.
I have one of these from a while back except it's 7.99. No VAT from here (US). VAT is only if you're in EU. It works fine, not a cpu monster but the storage is nice and the network works as advertised.
It'll make a perfectly fine storage box.
With 4GB, it's pretty close to being what I'd consider quite ZFS capable, but that also depends on a decent implementation; zfs4fuse is out of date and I would recommend against it. zfs4linux is fine, but you generally need to build it manually as it's non-GPL, and you'll get bitchmessages about it.
On the other hand, it's a single spindle 2TB drive with 100Mbit peak. Doubt too many folks care.
NO ECC RAM
RAID 0
Given the status of raid0, the "redundant" part can be omitted, and it would be "AID 0". Given that kimsufi doesn't do double disks, the "array" part can be omitted as well, making it "ID 0". At that point, the numerical identifier doesn't matter for shit, so lets ignore that as well: "ID". Stands for "inexpensive disk". Seems to match reality.

Didn't realize a box like that had the cpu to run ZFS usefully, or even enough to keep up with the 100mbps network port.
YOWO (you only write once).
How about "It's a fucking Kimsufi Atom". That's both accurate, and just as useful.
ZFS doesn't really need alot. It needs about 1G/TB and a little overhead.
Only in France though.
Many cons on kimsufi: bandwidth, raid, ips, support.
1 pro cover most of the cons: cheap
Many pros for this particular offer: cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap.
Congratulations on listing precisely everything which is known about purchasing from Kimsufi!
Not to mention reliability and a provider that’s not going anywhere.
Your comment makes me feel like buying one of them, if only there is no setup fee / VAT
They’re solid storage boxes if that’s what you need. Hell, I’ve even run Plex servers on those Atoms.
Add the VAT and spread the setup fee over 1 year and you're still at around 10 euro/mo, not bad.
Only if it were in BHS.
