if you rarely need to download your backup files, use backblaze b2.
liteserver, ramnode, securedragon had cheap storage plan
Thanks for the tip. I rarely need to download.
Wasabi is another option.
Maybe C14?
C14 intensive would set you back 0.02 EUR per month
Actually, Backblaze does not support FTP, so thats 10min of my life I wont get back
https://help.backblaze.com/hc/en-us/articles/230383828-Supported-Connection-Protocols-for-B2
"Currently only HTTPS requests are supported for B2 Cloud Storage. FTP or SSH are not officially supported."
Ah, sorry, didn't know FTP was a hard requirement.
maybe ask BuyShared @Francisco VPShared @VirMach Cam @Cam and ask them if they can do some FTP only deals on their shared hosting service? Dunno if VPSHARED30 coupon still works
Perhaps BunnyCDN ($0.01/GB for storage and $0.005/GB for bandwidth in "Volume Tier") or 1Fichier (€5 for 1TB and €10 for unlimited storage and unlimited downloads via their web interface but €10 per TB for direct downloads, can be cheaper when there are discounts)?
+1 for BunnyCDN
Thanks for the tag.

p.s. Vesta's FTP server only supports ASCII characters.
install proftpd on https://clients.liteserver.nl/cart.php?a=add&pid=235
use code 'HAPPY2018' to pay 12Eur/yr for 100GB storage VPS.
Hmm, Pure FTP deals are not that common in that price range
I guess NAT vps are out of the question, since you require port 21.
You can always set your FTP server port to match your NAT ports. Simple config file edit.
If you can push your budget a little more , Hetzner storage is a reliable option 2.9Eur/mo for 100GB https://www.hetzner.de/storage-box/bx10
FTP as a protocol is incredibly broken. Using passive mode with ports other than 20/21 will cause pain.
Prometeus used to have some FTP storage plans. Not sure if they still offer them.

They do indeed:

@WSS Use SFTP then :P
Not my monkeys, not my circus.
Well, duh.
So you were giving bad advice for the sake of giving bad advice?
I just made a comment on a comment, pointing out that an option was available. As always, advice is up to the user to take or leave. Were I asked, I'd have given the proper advice. As it stands, I'm just a bysitter.
If you really want to help the NAT kluebies, you can always
echo "firstport lastport" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_local_port_range and watch them completely lose their shit when only those-ports bound work.
have a look at prometeus
