Hurricane Electric IPv6 Certification
I'm sure most everyone here knows about the IPv6 certification that Hurricane Electric offers. Any sages here? I earned my Sage cert last night while I was bored, took pretty close to two hours but it was actually pretty fun and I learned a couple new things! I figure it's gonna be a while until I get my t-shirt, I heard it can take over a month.
For those who haven't seen it, you can check it out at: http://ipv6.he.net/certification

yeah I had forgotten about the shirt when I received it like 2 months later
I didn't knew that you get a shirt after completing the test.
Maybe I will give it a try, I want to show that to my coworkers, lol!
I got the t-shirt 2 years ago, but i've no idea where it is now.
2 years or so here too, it kinda looks hideous as well.
Meh.
I have two of those T-shirts.
The certification process is actually educational and funny at the same time. Pretty cool they're still doing it.
+1
I put the t-shirt in trash bag after 1 week,the quality of tshirt too 'lowehnd'
Mine is quite good.
However, I waited for shipping for 6 months (I ordered it at end of June 2011 and got at January 2012)
My sage t-shirt is a nice heavy material, but I have enough self-respect that I don't think I could actually wear it anywhere :P
mine is good one
and it's been several months now

This test requires you to validate your address and select a size for Sages' T-shirt.
but never received it!! =(
Do you have to have IPv6 to do the cert? Im considering doing it but I can't get a tunnel to work for the life of me (crappy modem won't pass the protocol or something).
Try using a VPN. I use AirVPN since it goes through port 80, and my school loves blocking ports and all...
Nah, just your domains and servers. You personally shouldn't have to have it on your home PC.
I only have one IPv6 Server ATM. Thanks for the info. I'll probably start doing that today.

maybe I'm not luck , got that trash. but I got mine shipped only 1-2 weeks
Didnt take too long for me, I managed to get mine within a month.
No it checks if the browser is using IPv6 or not! best way to use a remote desktop if you dont have IPv6 or tunneling

Pretty easy to pass though, and the T-shirt is nice, got mine in slightly more than a month.
@Ruchirablog
No it does not check if the browser is using IPv6.... Only the server
No it does. Maybe it didnt previously. I have took the test last week and it does check the browser for IPv6
One of the earlier tests does check for IPv6 on your browser. I failed it, then did a SSH tunnel and it worked fine afterwards.
@herbyscrub
I don't have ipv6 and I passed every test except for ipv6 glue records as I CBA to do it.
@BenND
Just checked - it's Explorer Test, which checks if you access ipv6.he.net with IPv6 ("This test validates that you have Native or Tunneled IPv6.").
Now that you mention it, that does sound familiar. Ah well, no big deal. If it only accepted native it might be harder, but the Gogoclient tunnel pulled me through that one easily enough.
