Looking at reliable Vdedies that are cheap and my concerns.
Hello all
I am trying to list all good VDedi offers (all though cheap servers may count) could you fill this out with me and answer questions about some. I would prefer reliable or somewhat reliable providers.
Also, I notice how alot of people like derailing (me included) so look for the next h1 heading below for the derail of the day for me.
First BuyVm: I read tons of reviews, and they seem to have like an epic rep around here. Got no clue how he does dedicated cores for so cheep but he does it and does it well.
Also if I ever bought from this company I would be buying from a Canadian company so I would be supporting Canadian GDP or GNP which is a bonus (source: somebody on the forum I told you I am a bit of a lurker).
SpeedyKVM: the first plan starts at $39 US.
But you get alot of stuff with it infact too much for me, 8 cores and 15 gb of ram.
Net cup: People seem to like their dedicated things especially for the price but I am totally confused about the bandwidth cap. I do not see it on any offers in English or German.
OVH cheep line (aka Kimsophi): A big plus is that it is super cheep you won't find many that surpass it in cheepness. Understandibly support is not good because of that fact actually.
The range I am interested is what I can get for $30 US dollars absolute max.

So, I notice people love posting a lot of picktures and I can't see but wouldn't it be funny if you described it in less than 4 words and did it quite inaccurately.
For instance, this is a bird:
Don't believe your lyin eyes.

netcup doesnt have bandwith cap, but their network card runs at 100mbps.
No, it doesn‘t. At least not for the ‚root‘ servers.
https://www.treudler.net/virtual-server/vdedicated/ has been good so far for me.
Dedi:
Kimsufi is going to be one of the cheapest non-KVMs you find. Anything else is pretty much unsustainable, price-wise. Every so often @VirMach has a hell of a deal, but those are gone as quickly as they're listed.
If you can handle the world's slowest support, DatabaseByDesign has some incredible prices- but you'll be waiting weeks unless it's down. There are a few old specials listed which are still available.
Dacentec occasionally has some great deals, too. They occasionally have a 2x2TB, 4x1TB deal with a crappy old Opteron CPU for $25/mo. 100Mbit/unmetered for an additional $5.
If you don't mind "bidding", Hetzner's auctions are damn competitive.
Also, WSI is OK if you can live with their minimal OS releases available (no KVM either for "Instant")
VDedi:
There are a handful of places which throw a KVM atop the metal and give you that. NetCup is very competitive, and may have a few more specials left for December.
@VirMach also has some decent pricing on their KVMs, checkout their SSD plans.
For smaller sizes (not a full Dedi), @vmhaus, HostHatch, @davidgestiondbi, @AnthonySmith, and @MCHPhil have had some pretty damn nice deals recently.
Judging by the giant threads filled with pissed off people and the behaivor they displayed there you are not doing anyone a favor with this recommandation.
It seemed sort of unsustainable at least for now.
Maybe it will be sustainable when we unlock the true power of quantum computing and find a cheaper way to produce electricity, and ssd's.
Yes, I was hesitating a lot before buying, but I've been getting great performance and 100% uptime. We all know that HDDs are slow and can't be overbooked, this was a mistake from their side. Their VDS-SSD fits my needs so far and it's pretty solid for the price.
Pretty much half of the few posts this guy has made is pro-Turdler. Buyer beware.
Their attitude surely was also just a mistake. Anyways are you really getting 2 cores or is it just 2 threads? If its really 2 cores they are selling exactly 2 VMs on the box. Seems quite questionable.
Edit: Why do i even ask? They advertise 8 cores on an i7-3770. LOL. 3770 has just 4 cores... Case closed.
