We'll assume that outside is winter and you're living in a small house in the snowy woods.

Let's say you have a furnace.

In order to obtain heat, you put fuel inside and then burn it.

Now, let's assume you don't put fuel and expect nothing to burn and produce heat.

Nothing burns and there is no heat. And you are starting to kinda freeze.

You ask yourself - why am i cold? And look around with a questionable look.

Now, the birds and the bears and the bees and the trees and the cherry potatoes look at you with curiosity.

Then, you look at them with curiosity.

Then, they look at you with curiosity again.

Then, you look at them with curiosity.

Then, the whole nature looks at you with curiosity.

Then... Yeah, you get it.
