You need to shed a few hundred more machines so we can have another KS-3C gate.
KS-1 — Atom D425 — 2GB — 1x500GB 5.99 €
Total amount excl. VAT €19.18 The cheapest one for the first month. Lets be serious here...
If I want storage, I buy storage, if I want cpu and ram, I buy a VPS, this is neither, not event competitive on price.
At Aruba i can have 6 GB ram and 300 GB storage, 6 seriously better threads for the same price without any setup fee.
Meh, best for price/performance ratio is still KS4C for 15.99, cheaper but not flash sale price.
@Maounique Now, now- into each life a KS-1 must fall. It looks cheap- superficially, but unless you roll with it for at least a year, it just isn't worth it. It's still cheaper than the majority of other x86 Dedis, and works great for a lower-end host.
That said, I still want those 4Cs at 3C prices again. I'll never let those go.
I miss my €10.99 KS-4C.
Never let it go.
Do you know wether this is for new orders only or for existing servers as well?
new orders only, my KS2E costs me 6.99, just renewed it.
I just in case renewed the my personal servers until 2018. I think I'll renew it for six months ahead.
They are supposed to change the prices for existing services after Dec 1st.
Ah fuck, but still a month to go.
I let my KS2E go months ago. It just wasn't worth keeping. Sure, as a backup/backup/backup for $0.25/day, it was passable, but it's still a huge turd in the worlds' slowest datacenter.
I probably would have picked one up if there wasn't a setup fee.
Your mom is the world's slowest datacenter, I get 94 Mbit up and 94Mbit down to/from OVH's France from all the way out in the middle of POCCNR.
RBX is not all the same, you realize. 1/8th the time it's on a 40 year old 10/100 switch located in North Yemen.
how can i order one of these without the VAT?
VAT is automatically removed based on your address.
But maybe the delivery will take a long time.
Way better than Aruba, I have to say.
First time I signed with my business they wanted to mail them the papers of incorporation and stuff. I mean, WTF, my VAT number they can check in VIES is not enough? If VIES has it, I suppose it is a legit company? Also, I offered to pay from the company bank account, which bank would open account in EU to a fake company and if it was not mine, how would I have access to the bank account?
All that in order to remove the FRENCH VAT, not Romanian one. I signed up in the end with fake data and let them to charge me the french VAT until they probably had some calls from their lawyers and decided to charge the romanian one. But it was to my advantage, they charged the french when romanian was 24% and switched to romanian exactly when it came below the french one :P
It does not really matter it is all so cheap anyway, unlike in OVH case, at 3 Eur was a good deal, at 4 is OK, at 6 and with setup fee... No thanks.
It's still going for old prices on their Dutch website.
Did anyone place an order recently? It mentions "SoftRaid" on https://www.kimsufi.com/en/servers.xml so I wonder if it means that multiple disks are present -- which I feel is very unlikely.
There is no raid there. It's just that office employees work so hard that they do not even know what they are selling.
"Hello. The number of disks doesn't change on kimsufi (there is only one disk). I've transmitted information internally."
What about servers from flash sales (€8.99) ? Price increase or not?
It seems like:
"For Kimsufi services that are currently in use, the extra cost of anti-DDoS protection will be applied from 1st December onwards, when they are renewed. "
But we will see, if that really applies.
What about Kimsufi 2G? Is pricing still same?
What is the tariff code?
Now it applied, when I renew my old KS-1, it said the price is €5.99.. €1 is the extra cost for anti-ddos, lol..
I miss my old price.. €4.99
:sad
I have renew all my personal servers until 2019. A small saving.
