Putting together some dedicated server offers - Opinion on pricing
Hi, can I get some opinions on the pricing of this dedicated server I have added to our site
https://nodedeploy.com/clients/cart.php?a=add&pid=47
Do you think the pricing is reasonable?
Thanks
Ben

Is it unmetered bandwidth?
Ahh, forgot to add that, bandwidth will be at 10TB
Yeah, nice prices
Coloed servers or?
Pretty good prices
@Patrick
Yes, Colo at Global Switch, Germany
I like the prices on additional storage and RAID
@BenND so what about OS reloads etc?
@jkr1711 Can be done over IPMI with access to our Windows Share.
Overpriced to be honest.
Yes, Colo at Global Switch, Germany
Do you buy the hardware from the DC/23media then?
Very identical to:
http://23media.de/de/dedicated_server/dedicated_server
Your WHMCS also says:
Same as http://23media.de/de/dedicated_server/dedicated_server
Upgrades are cheap, the actual server is not so cheap.
@Patrick We use the same supermicro distributor as them - We rent our rack + IP Space from them though, they are very good friends of mine/us :-)
Don't you get deals from your DC?
You can get this at $100 direct from 23Media.
https://nodedeploy.com/datacenters.html - you may want to update that.
@Infinity,
Whole website should be changed in the next couple of days. New layout as NodeDeploy is 1 today.
you should avoid having anything that competes directly with OVH
@all what would low end be to You for this? jw
This seems a little overpriced. Average price for this setup to me is in the $80-$90 USD range with 100mbit. The gigabit drop is nice though. I am just not sure its worth the extra $40-$50 price tag (Most DE/NL seem to charge 19 Euro (~$25 USD) for gigabit upgrade). If you could offer that in the range above with 100mbit and maybe 2x2tb to start with 5TB transfer, I would be in.
Still, I have seen cheaper than that even, but the hardware wasn't as new.
Edit: I am not referring to OVH or Hetzner, I will not buy servers from either of those companies.
my 2 cents.
Cheers!
Perhaps, but we are marketing this with limited support - much Berger than what ovh or hetzner would offer. I guess this wont suit lowend people but for The target market it will work very well
As there are established providers offering the same for the same price or less I think you may find this a hard sell.
We currently offer E3-1230 V2, 32GB RAM, 2 x 1TB or 2 x 120GB SSD and 5TB at 1Gb/s for $140 so I suppose ours is cheaper for what they get.
You resell Avante so that doesn't count
Not anymore we only get our network drop from them.
So you colo and offer the exact same specs and bw they are charging?
Yes because we feel that it's a package that sells well.
Ahh so you colo with him?
No we have racks with CoreXchange
I smell #winning.
I don't care what crap you are reselling.
