Looking for a cheap storage server

So i'm looking for a server with these specs:

CPU cores: 1+
RAM: 500mb+
HDD storage: 500gb+
Connection: at least 100mb/s but could be lower if dedicated
Price: 15$-

I don't care about the numbers of IP's but the more the merrier obviously ;)

I assume this $15 price is per month.

    Nope.
My shit works so the ticket flow is low.

Edit: majority of my tickets are from people asking why the setup isn’t instant. :)

Hmmm ... ah, found it! Here is a useful thread from about 6 weeks ago -> https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/123587/looking-for-a-lowend-storage-vps-start-here/p1

Thanks to a comment from @bersy I found a good discount on spartanhost's 512 MB ram / 250 GB sata raid-10 kvm in Dallas, which has been working great for me so far. They offer several larger sizes - $15 / month would get you 750 GB disk space (not sure if kvm40 coupon still works for a nice discount, might be worth a try) https://spartanhost.org/vps#storage

Also always find myself considering vapornode's low-priced kvm storage promotions (located in Tampa, Florida) but do not yet have any experience with their service. Most recent offer thread on LET seems to be https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/122639/vapornode-7-3gb-lxc-kvm-7-500gb-storage-kvm-bonus-inside-tampa-florida

+1 for mnx.io also - I have enjoyed their hourly billing for 500 MB storage near Chicago - quality service at low price (was about $7 per month if I remember correctly)

    well,thats nice.

i thought there will be tons of people asking "what is the root passwd of my vps?"

    "how to change system ?"

    etc.

Interface is pretty good in whmcs so that sort of questions are rare.

Am I to cheap for anyone to try? Honest question.

Hmm ... I'd yes but in the future when IPv6 ready.

For me, NAT IPv4 is the last choice in rare location for VPN purpose.

I like my hosting providers like I like my womenslots: Cheap and loose.

At ~$50/yr for 500GB, I really don't know how you expect to make money with that. Even if it's not RAID, it's really, really low.

You really need to focus on MrVM, because your old domain is awful.

    No.

Strongly agree :) I'm sorry, but old one looks like a joke for now, whereas MrVM is quite good.

Belive me, I’ve looked at Singapore. Only possible by doing a nested virt on vultr.
Or if I could get monthly plans rolling.
Dedis in Singapore, actually everywhere in asia costs a bit more then what I’m used to.

Well bandwidth is more expensive in Asia. I just can't understand the reason behind it however... Is there a reason or it's just providers like charging more.

  • I'm quite happy with @mikho s services.

I will, if he's ok with it, expand on his systems, as I will need
a new system in about a week :3

Nope. Seedbox or torrents via vpn is not allowed. It uses so much disk i/o that it will hurt your neighbours.

Doesn't dedi mean that your leasing your own hardware. So shouldn't the only thing that is effected maybe be network if your eating resources. I am new, and I would think that you would have your own hard drive and cpu ram etc

It sure does. I don’t offer dedicated servers, only vps and shared/reseller accounts so my answer was that I won’t.
Best option is to go to one of the mentioned providers.
