I have both W9970 and W8968. It starts hanging at 25Mbps + wifi will turn off and all. I don't know its firmware issue or something. I was using the latest one. Then I upgraded to ubiquity.
The w8968 is adsl.
I use an asus router with a BTO modem and it works spot on but the do some vdsl routers as well https://www.asus.com/uk/Networking/xDSL-Modem-Routers-Products/
Check out my @Speedtest result! How fast is your internet? http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/3197175065
So got the HG612 with the edge router x and the uqbuiti wireless APs but they don't all arrive for 2 days
Also because of the way my line was installed min latency to BBC.co.UK is 12ms if I had the latest face plate it would be around 8ms Fuck you openreach cunts
in the US we don't use VDSL, only ADSL, unless AT&T's UVerse service is VDSL, which I haven't been able to confirm what the heck that exactly is but it's something over copper phone line.
I've been to other countries though and used VDSL service and I've never seen speed above 30mbps down and around the same up. I just assumed those were typical speeds
ASUS AC68U
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6617271883
DTAG, offers 100Mbit down/40Mbit up via VDSL.
Can't seem to configure my Edge Router x with Sky I got my main interface to get a IP from the ISP but then I reset it as could not get any connectivity on the other interfaces and have not been able to restore the IP
Preach.
So, what've you tried so far? I'm a Virgin Media customer, but I'm aware that Sky make things difficult for you to use your own equipment.
Got it working using dhcp-client-identifier providing a random username and password and removing the PPoE Connection using another type of authentication
My setup is now has following devices
HG612
Ubiquiti Edge Router X
Ubiquiti Unifi AP
