NAT service in Germany - HTTPS support

mikhomikho Member, Host Rep

I've been thinking along time about stepping up the game from shared hosting and add VPS as a service and after some work together with the guys at Virtualizor I can now proudly present the first package that I will offer.

I'm reaching out for you guys to help me test the waters and provide valuable feedback before offering it to the public.
At first there will be only 30 servers available, the number might change up or down depending on how well the server performs.

Following in the foot prints of LowEndSpirit you will get the same base deal as everyone else does:

20 (+1 ssh) ports forwarded.

/112 IPv6

Haproxy domain name forwarding (supporting HTTPS)

Manual provisioning

Some basic information about this deal:

Location: Falkenstein, Germany

RAM: 128 mb
Disk: 3 gb
Transfer: 300GB
Price: $4/year (prorata is used so price on first invoice could be different)
VPS management in WHMCS

Quick Q & A:

Q. When will the next location be available?
A. a month or two after initial feedback and any major issues has been resolved.

Q. Why are you using that stupid domain name?
A. It was once created as part of a joke but the name worked while offering shared hosting alone. It will be changed somewhere in the future.

Q. Why are you using a default WHMCS template?
A. The old template used broke when upgrading whmcs and adding the modified Virtualizor module and this was the fastest way to get going.
A new template is on the road map.

I'm sure there are more questions, I'm more then happy to answerall of them.

What images are currently available? In the checkout I can only select CentOS and Debian 7.

  • mikhomikho Member, Host Rep

Centos and debian is currently availble. If you need something else, let me know and I'll add what I can.

Don't ask me about Windows :)

Refresh, it should be visible now.
Not sure how well it works on 128mb ram.

Thanks, it works fine on my LES services. Get the odd error when upgrading locales, but that's about it.

Not on the order form, you can reinstall Ubuntu from the control panel.

why would someone cost $4/year to 'testing' a nat vps.
    Price will be higher then?

The price will stay at $4/year for as long as I can see into the future :)
With paying customers I expect to get feedback and not just people signing up for a free service and then forgetting about the service.

It is also payment for the support tickets it generates.... :|

As a bonus, there is also a free NAT service on the next location in it for the users who sign up at this stage. So it's practically two for one at this stage.

That's great to know. Where is the next location likely to be?

nothing final more than it will be a US location.
I'm always on the lookout for hardware that I can rent. Yes, it's true .. I rent at this moment. :)

@mikho has been involved in some way with LES from the start, he really does know the good the bad and the ugly so I really expect this to be a real success.

    Thumbs up from me!

Unless I host you on my 100/100 dynamic IP fiber @ home.
I could probably use my NAS. ;)

Are you sure if I sign up with the $4/year plan and I will get 2 NAT services? If yes, I will sign up as soon. Thanks for your bonus.

It will be free as long as you have another active service. When/if that free service becomes the only active service it will turn into a paid service.

This offer is only available until the end of the week or when the next location goes live, whatever comes first.
