How to improve the response of VNC faster

noqqkknoqqkk Member

In order to install Centos ISO by myself, I need to use the VNC which provided in the VPS control panel.

Since I connect the VNC from Asia to EU, the response of VNC is extreme slow that it sometimes take 15-30 sec to get a screen refresh. Usually, spend only 5 minutes I can finish the Centos setting during installation but now need to spend at least 45 minutes to finish it.

Is there any suggestion can make the VNC response faster. Many thanks.

Use compression and reduce bit depth. If that's not enough run it in 256 or 16 color mode

Also in general, latency is the number 1 killer, you would actually be better off using RDP to a midpoint and vnc from there in my experience.
