    I ended up using seafile. It had all features I needed. The bonus was the command line scripts that allowed me to maintain this storage as a kind of supercloud into which I could sync and pull my Google Drive and Dropbox files.It helped a lot when I recently exceeded the 17GB Google gave me.

    Even the android app is open source and I've added a few snippets of my own code in there.
