VestaCP commercial file manager free? or bug

So i came across that when you edit the file

/usr/local/vesta/conf/vesta.conf

And add the below snippet

FILEMANAGER_KEY=’ILOVEREO’

You can access VestaCP's commercial File Manager for free. I've tried it and it works. Looks like a bug?

    First bug that does something good on VestaCP ;) I guess their dev team is aware about it

    I don't think it's a bug, maybe a bypass, however it does get reset when vestaCP receives an update, but you can just add it back to the vesta.conf file and it will work again.

  • I wouldn't recommend to use it but for those who might, you can setup a sed cron. Another way to ensure that vestacp gives green alert on your license is to edit v-*-vesta-license in /usr/local/bin with your own api server.

  • Let them get ipv6 support first then they might can think of making money and solving commercial level problems.
