CloudFlare Railgun?

Any one using it on shared hosting? How much extra load does it put on the server

Railgun is supposed to be hosted on separate machine and takes old off your hosting server by caching locally.

I kinda get the feeling thats they no longer support this feature
    https://www.cloudflare.com/docs/railgun/changelog.html

    last update nov6 2016.

I also know people that reported problems with railgun that broke their site.

I offer it to my customers - works great. Haven't really had any complaints, and it's integrated nicely in cPanel which allows the customers to switch it on and off as they wish.

    Is it resource hungry?

https://www.cloudflare.com/docs/railgun/intro.html it says under "Requirements" what kind of hardware is required for the railgun server.

I have a shared hosting the n namecheap , when i set up cloudflare to that hosting, railgun automatically kick in, i guess it's because namecheap is its partner.

But railgun didn't work on that hosting, every time i test it in cloudflare panel, it reports "successful" but says "starting new direct connection" which means RG isn't working properly.

  • Dediserve have railgun proxies in all their POPs supposedly. @dediserve confirm for 2017 status?

Confirmed, big fat railguns in every cloud, free for use (with the free cloudflare sub) on our clouds.
