Dyn-Box.de - LXC Green (1.50€/mo)
Heya,
So I came around to acctually try out Dyn-Box.de :P
They are a sorta established prepaid provider on the German Market, not very known though, however they have some tempting offer one of them being the LXC Green for 1.50€/month.
They do have a free testserver for their LXC and KVM plans which gets provisioned manually so try it out :P

Ehrm okay so I put in the hostname and get vps8325.dyn-box.de. Nice I can ping it.
You didn't pick the LXC Green, because then you would be hosted in Germany, Hamburg. But your machine is in France at the OVH Datacenter.

Have you tried running Docker on it? I don't know if it works with LXC, but at least the kernel version should be new enough to support it.
Do they have ipv6?
care to explain why you are in France, not Germany?
This seems to be not a 2016 Green either, as it only has 1 core, the plan you have seems to not exist.... very fishy.
Shilling + they are using letsencrypt... I mean not that LE is bad, but as a hoster?
Paid certificates make no sense, you just support a few very large companies that got into their position by nothing more than existing at the right time.
pretty sure that is a wildcard and definitely not his VPS hostname fqdn
These types of comments always blow my mind. Websites using LE are providing encrypted connections. Period. End of discussion.
At least I signed up for LXC Green :O
Contacted them regarding this^^
My IP Adress is located in Kassel, Germany acccording to infobyip.com
ISP: Artfiles New Media Gmbh
@Ympker is there ipv6?
Need to check again later but doesn't look like it.
Plan does not exist? When on their homepage you click on LXC Server you get redirected to:
https://irie-server.de/cp/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=0
And seems to be indeed LXC Green
I just do not understand why they use 100mbit for all LXC-vps, but 1Gbit for openvz-vps...
It seems they discontinued 1 Gbit plans. OpenVZ were out of stock when I tried yesterday. KVM has 100 Mbit/s .
@tenpera seems like it has ipv6 according to ifconfig
100mbit/s sucks. My cellphone can download faster than that...
There are lots of use cases where 100 Mbit/s is perfectly fine. Support answered me that you can upgrade to 1 Gbits via ticket although I did not inquire for the costs.
